Bring order to applications and set binding rules for operations
Untangling application landscapes, organising interfaces and planning for operations from the start.
Software and operations architecture at FlixConsulting organises application landscapes, interfaces and operating processes. This includes dependency analyses, operating and service concepts with SLAs, regulatory evidence, for example under BaFin requirements, and managed migrations and rollouts. It is for IT leaders in large enterprises, financial services firms and public authorities. The result: operations with clear roles, processes and evidence.
What changes for you
Known dependencies
Applications, interfaces and data flows are documented. You plan changes, migrations and decommissioning with a known level of risk.
Operations with clear rules
SLAs, escalation paths, roles and responsibilities are defined. Operations no longer depend on the knowledge of individual people.
Audit-ready evidence
Security, authorisation, data deletion and operating concepts are documented. They form the basis for audits under BaFin requirements or to ISO 27001.
What we take on
Available individually or as a package, from analysis to handover.
- 01
Dependency analysis of the application landscape
Capture of applications, interfaces, data flows and identities as the basis for disentanglement, migration or carve-out.
- 02
Organising and documenting interfaces
Capturing and describing interfaces between business applications, for example as REST APIs with Swagger, with owners and change rules for each interface.
- 03
Operating and service concepts with SLAs
Service catalogue, SLAs for availability, response and recovery times, KPIs and escalation paths, plus backup and disaster recovery.
- 04
Service provider management and contracts
Service specifications and maintenance contracts for operations providers, and their ongoing management through SLAs and KPI reports.
- 05
Regulatory concepts and evidence
Security, authorisation, data deletion and operating concepts, plus quality gate records, for example for recertification under BaFin requirements or as BSI-compliant documentation.
- 06
Application management and change coordination
Coordination of changes, hotfixes and tests for business applications such as MS Dynamics CRM, including IAM integration via Azure AD.
- 07
Migrations and international rollouts
AD and Microsoft 365 migrations with group policy and test concepts, and software rollouts with a rollout template, country variants and an escalation plan.
- 08
Introducing new IT services
Introducing new services, such as monitoring, with a service catalogue entry, dashboards and documentation, and handing them over to business-as-usual operations with training.
What you end up with
- Dependency inventory for applications, interfaces, data flows and identities
- Operating and service concept with service catalogue, SLAs, KPIs, escalation paths and contingency plan
- Audit-ready security, authorisation, data deletion and operating concepts for auditors and regulators
- Rollout or migration plan with milestones, test concept, go/no-go criteria and rollback plan
How we work
- 01
Analysis
We capture applications, interfaces, operating processes, contracts and open incidents, and make dependencies visible.
- 02
Target architecture
We bring order to the application landscape, set rules for interfaces and design the operating and service concept with SLAs and roles.
- 03
Delivery
We manage migrations, rollouts and changes with a test concept and quality gates, and produce the regulatory evidence.
- 04
Handover to operations
We hand over processes, service catalogue and documentation to business-as-usual operations, train the teams and establish KPI reporting.

In practice
Questions about this service
What belongs in an operating and service concept?
It describes which services exist, who is responsible for them and to what quality they are delivered. This includes a service catalogue, SLAs for availability, response and recovery times, escalation paths, and backup and disaster recovery. It also covers KPIs for regular reporting to IT management.
Do you support regulatory audits, for example under BaFin requirements?
Yes. We prepare and revise regulatory documentation for business applications, such as security, authorisation, data deletion and operating concepts, as well as quality gate records. It is based on how the application is actually operated. We advise on technical and organisational matters. The legal assessment remains with your compliance or legal department.
Do you also take over migrations and rollouts that are already under way?
Yes. First, we review open incidents and the project status. Then we define the test concept, approvals and escalation paths for the next waves and bring support and project together in a single process. We bring experience from AD and Microsoft 365 migrations and from an international software rollout in more than 30 countries.
