AWS EKS

Managed Kubernetes on AWS.

EKS runs the Kubernetes control plane in AWS and is integrated with IAM, VPC and load balancers. The team triggers and tests version upgrades itself. Without EKS Auto Mode, nodes and add-ons also remain the team's job; the network and security concept does in any case.

We place it in Trial. It pays off when AWS is a strategic choice. We clarify data location, access and compliance before the start.

  • applications already run in AWS
  • the team knows Kubernetes
  • workloads grow quickly or fluctuate
Not a good fit if …
  • data must not go into a public cloud
  • independence from the provider matters more than operational convenience
